Federal Law requires that all modern firearms be shipped to a holder of a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) only. Franklin Gold & Silver Exchange holds a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL). The recipient of a firearm must have an FFL; however the sender is not required to have one. Any person who is legally allowed to own a firearm is legally allowed to ship it to an FFL holder for any legal purpose (including sale or resale).
If you have selected to ship your firearm(s) to Franklin Gold & Silver Exchange, you must follow these guidelines.
1.Ensure that the firearm is unloaded. Any magazine or accessories you ship with the firearm must not contain ammunition.
2.Place your firearm in a box with adequate packaging material (e.g. bubble wrap, foam, newspaper) to ensure the firearm is safe and secure. Seal the box with packing tape. DO NOT place any markings on the package that indicate there is a firearm inside the box.
3.Take your packaged firearm to your preferred shipping carrier (NOTE: Handguns must be shipped via UPS)
US Mail, UPS, FedEx:
Take your packaged rifle and or shotgun to a US Mail Post Office, UPS Store, or FedEx store. Give the package to the person at the counter. Inform them that the package contains a firearm and that it is being shipped to a Federal Firearms License holder. They may ask to see a copy of the FFL license, show it to them (the one we emailed to you).
Take you packaged firearm(s) to a UPS location or arrange for them to pick up the package from your home. UPS will accept handgun shipments by Next Day Air only. Give the package to the UPS worker. Inform them that the package contains a firearm and that it is being shipped to a Federal Firearms License holder. They may ask to see a copy of the FFL license, show it to them (the one we emailed to you).
In the rare case of purchase having to be returned, there is a 20% restocking fee and the buyer pays all return shipping fees.
